London, 1912: Just as Alice starts to come to terms with the dreams that plagued her childhood with the help of her empathetic analyst, Dr. James Preston, she's thrown into the grim transition ward of Pastoria House, where she encounters Wendolyn Darling, a fellow dreamer with whom she shares an unknown connection.
